Abstract Aim Description of the adoption process, first experiences and pitfalls with a surgical robot for hernia surgery in private practice. Material & Methods consecutive experience 30 cases including redo inguinal hernias previous preperitoneal mesh placemen, prostate incional hernias. Results There were no complications. The usage pain medication was significantly lower comparison to “conventional” techniques. preparations operating theatre small day case unit complex required thorough planning talent improvisation. Conclusion Robotic approach is feasible safe practice setting cases. Using potentially allows minimize risks complication rates raise patient comfort. are several which can be avoided if known advance.
